Read With Us
One book at a time, broken into manageable weekly reading assignments so you can enjoy the journey without rushing it.
A community where women gather over good books, good food and real conversation — building genuine connections one chapter at a time.
Yes, we read the book. But what happens around the pages is what makes The Journey special. We meet over dinner, unpack what we read, laugh until somebody cries, share real-life stories, celebrate one another and build connections that extend beyond the final chapter.
There is no pressure to be the “perfect reader.” Come ready to read, talk, listen, eat and be part of something genuine.
Each read gives us a new reason to gather — and every gathering gives us another opportunity to connect.

We gather Monday evenings at 6 PM and enjoy a different restaurant in the Katy area each week.
Guided discussion questions get us started, but the best conversations are the ones that take us somewhere unexpected.
Come as you are. You do not have to know anyone before you arrive. There is room at the table for new connections.
Our next five-week read brings the suspense, red flags, theories and “girl, WHAT?!” moments. We’ll read together, meet weekly and unpack every twist as the story unfolds.
The week’s restaurant is announced Sunday evening. Come hungry for the conversation and the food.
I wanted a space where women could actually connect — somewhere we could step away from everything we carry every day, sit down together, eat something good, talk about a book and let the conversation become whatever we needed it to become.
The Journey was created for the laughter, the honest conversations, the stories we recognize in one another and the friendships that can grow when women are given room to simply show up as themselves.
Books give us the starting point. Sisterhood is what we are building along the way.
Born in Griffin, Georgia, Aricola is a wife, mother of three, proud grandmother, animal lover and retired Navy veteran who dedicated nearly 33 years to service.
Family is a huge part of her life. She enjoys good food, sports, time with family and friends, relaxing at home, perfume, beautiful purses and shoes — and she is just as comfortable working with her hands.
She brings experience, strength, love, family and plenty of personality to The Journey, and we’re so glad she’s part of the sisterhood.
You don’t have to know anyone. You don’t have to be a lifelong reader. You don’t have to have it all together. Just come as you are.
